aipt Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy applies to consumer health data that we, the independent developer of aipt, collect from consumers in Washington State and Nevada through the aipt app and website. Our general privacy policy is at /privacy.
1. Categories of consumer health data we collect
- Health screening answers: whether you have a heart condition or high blood pressure, chest pain, dizziness or fainting, take medication that affects exercise, or have a bone or joint problem, and any notes you add (for example a condition or medication name).
- Doctor clearance: whether a doctor has cleared you to exercise.
- Injuries and limitations you share.
- Body measurements: height and body weight; year of birth; sex.
- Fitness and exercise data: goals, training experience, activity level, workouts, weights, repetitions and effort, and feedback on exercises.
- Conversations with the app that mention any of the above, and inferences drawn from them.
We do not collect biometric data (we never receive or keep audio; speech is converted to text on your phone) or reproductive or sexual health data. If you allow location, it is used on your phone only; we do not store it.
2. Sources
Directly from you, in the app. We do not buy or receive health data from anyone else.
3. Why we collect it and how we use it
- To provide the app's features.
- For your safety: to set safer training limits.
- To improve the app using your feedback and reports.
We do not use consumer health data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
4. Categories of consumer health data we share, and with whom
| Recipient (category) | Specific recipient | Data shared | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI service provider (processor) | Anthropic, PBC | Your health screening answers, clearance, injuries, body measurements, goals, recent workouts and your conversations with the app | Generating the app's replies |
| Hosting and database provider (processor) | Supabase, Inc. | All categories in section 1 | Storing your data and running our servers |
We have no affiliates that receive consumer health data. We do not sell consumer health data.
5. Your consent
Before you can use the app, it asks for your consent with boxes you have to tick yourself: one to agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which describe how we collect and use your health data, and a separate one to agree that what you say and your profile, including your health notes, are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the app's replies. Continuing to use the app is not treated as consent.
You can withdraw either consent at any time by deleting your account (in the app at ☰ → Profile → Delete account, or as described on our account deletion page) or by emailing livemorescrollless@gmail.com. Because the app cannot work without either, withdrawing consent closes your account.
6. Your rights and how to exercise them
You have the right to:
- Confirm and access: confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, get a copy of it, and get a list of all third parties and affiliates we have shared it with and how to contact them.
- Withdraw consent to collection or sharing.
- Delete your consumer health data. We delete it from our live systems, and from our backups when they roll over and in any event within six months, and we instruct our processors to delete it too.
How: in the app (☰ → Profile → Delete account) for deletion, or by email to livemorescrollless@gmail.com for any request. We will verify your request using your account email; you will not need to create an account to make a request.
Timing: we respond within 45 days of receiving your request. If we need more time, we will tell you within those 45 days, with the reason, and extend once by up to 45 more days. Requests are free up to twice a year.
Appeal: if we decline your request, reply to our decision to appeal. We will answer the appeal in writing within 45 days, explaining what we did and why. If we deny the appeal, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at https://www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint (Nevada residents: the Nevada Attorney General at https://ag.nv.gov/Complaints/File_Complaint/).
